• rajo rāgātmakaḿ viddhi
• tṛṣṇā-sańga-samudbhavam
• tan nibadhnāti kaunteya
• karma-sańgena dehinam

Translation

The mode of passion is born of unlimited desires and longings, O son of Kuntī, and because of this the embodied living entity is bound to material fruitive actions.
