• niyatasya tu sannyāsaḥ
• karmaṇo nopapadyate
• mohāt tasya parityāgas
• tāmasaḥ parikīrtitaḥ

Translation

Prescribed duties should never be renounced. If one gives up his prescribed duties because of illusion, such renunciation is said to be in the mode of ignorance.
